Date: Tuesday 25 November 2008 The new wave of documentary which has evolved over the past decade has brought the form an increased presence in the cinema, at film festivals, on DVD, the web and in some places, on the street. Michael Chanan will explore this phenomenon through a range of examples from different countries, with special attention to the politics, both explicit and implicit, which new wave documentary represents.
