Brain Awareness Day

Have you ever wondered what's really going on in your head?

UEL's School of Psychology is hosting an exciting evening of events in Stratford to explore the mysteries of the human mind, as part of Global Brain Awareness Week.

Dr Ashok Jansari, a leading authority on neuropsychology and principal lecturer at UEL, will give a public lecture entitled Exploring the Human Brain. Dr Jansari will examine what we can learn from studying the brain and how we can apply that to society, help people with brain-damage and improve our own lives.

This will be followed by an interactive exhibition exploring brain science technologies, such as EEG and virtual reality, research on rehabilitation from brain damage, and organisations including Rehab UK, Headway and the Epilepsy Trust, that work with brain-damaged people in the community. Dr Jansari’s patients will talk about their experiences of living with brain damage.

For details and registration, call Marika Hooke on 020 8223 4609.
