Do you have a project on the shelf that you just haven’t had time to complete? Or need someone to support your team through a busy period?  Do you have some admin work that needs to be completed or a junior role to be filled for a short period?  If so, we have the perfect solution for you.  We can offer you a bright, tenacious recent graduate to work for you and even better, it doesn’t need to cost you a thing. In fact we will give you a £1000 per intern to cover the costs of their salary!

How does it work?

We will source recent graduates, short list them according to your requirements and send you the best to interview for your role.  You get the final say in who you take on as an intern.  If you need lots of help, why not take two or more interns? All we ask is that you have the intern for a minimum of four weeks.

What is in it for me?

The scheme is simple and allows you to take advantage of a large talent pool of recent graduates who have the knowledge and fresh ideas that can help your business and who are eager to get involved and put their skills to use.  You get the benefit of their ideas, skills and perspective as well as all the hard work the interns are willing to put in.

What kinds of companies are eligible to take on interns through the scheme?

The scheme is predominantly aimed at getting interns in to small and medium sized companies from any sector.  However we still welcome applications from larger companies, particularly from the following sectors:

  • low-carbon products and services
  • digital industry
  • life sciences and pharmaceuticals
  • advanced manufacturing
  • professional and financial services
  • engineering construction
  • products or services supporting an ageing society

What can the interns do?

The interns will come from a range of institutions which specialise in different areas so we can provide you with the intern to fit your needs.  Whether it is a website redesign, a marketing campaign, developing a new project or more, our graduates are eager to get involved and put their skills to use.

What institutions are involved?

The interns come from the Knowledge East partnership which includes the University of East London, London Metropolitan University, University of Greenwich, London Southbank University, Queen Mary University, Rose Bruford College and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

How do I get the £1000?

All you need to do is to commit to having an intern for a minimum of four weeks.

How do I sign up?
