IT Services have been working on developing an enhanced management information capability that will eventually replace our current system, ProClarity. A prototype Student Lifecycle application was developed using a software product called QlikView.  This has subsequently been demonstrated and deployed to senior managers in schools and services.

During our testing phase, we received some valuable feedback from colleagues and have subsequently incorporated that into the new version that we are now deploying.

In addition, we have obtained funding from JISC as part of their Business Intelligence programme, one of only eleven institutions awarded and the only QlikView user.

As a consequence of this funding, we have been able to demonstrate different iterations of the Student Lifecycle model to a wide range of HEIs across the sector and have received positive and constructive feedback that has been subsequently incorporated into the new version.

In the new version of the Student Lifecycle application (v2.0) we have integrated a wide range of student data and designed it to be easy to use. It features a range of dashboards with analytics tabs for more detailed analysis as well as Google maps for looking at application and enrolment patterns.
