Information Security and Digital Forensics Research Group

Strategy and Membership

In partnership with a range of leading industrial and academic institutes, this group aims to examineand establish several innovative research projects that are of direct relevance to the needs of UK and European information security and digital forensics industries.

Groups’ research activities cover the following areas:

  • Identity theft, trust and confidence: Dr David S Preston, Dr Elias Pimenidis, Dr Amin Mousavi
  • Secure Architecture Design and Modelling: Dr Rabih Bashroush, Dr Aaron Kans
  • Forensic Computing and evidence recovery: Prof Hamid Jahankhani, Dr Ameer Al-Nemrat
  • Anti-forensics Tools and steganography: Prof Hamid Jahankhani, Dr Ameer Al-Nemrat
  • Emergency Communications and standards (TETRA): Prof Hamid Jahankhani, Prof Mohammad Dastbaz, Devon Bennett.

The group also has a number of industrial partners from Kaspersky Lab, the Metropolitan Police, the London Probation Services, Microsoft and SAP.
