Admission Policies

Entry requirements vary according to which programme you wish to study and whether you are a school or college leaver, a mature student or someone with overseas qualifications. A clear commitment to your chosen programme and the benefits you will gain from it are also taken into account.

Other factors that are considered, especially in the case of mature students, include:

Undergraduate programmes

Typical offers are based on 160+ UCAS tariff points. However, applications are also encouraged from mature students who do not have traditional qualifications, and candidates who have successfully completed an Access to Higher Education or Access to Teaching course.

Postgraduate programmes

Entry requirements vary, but applicants will normally be required to hold an Honours degree from a recognised UK Higher Education institution (or equivalent).

For programmes such as PGCEs, including the Post-Compulsory Education and Training (PCET) programme, leading onto teaching careers, you will also need to demonstrate:

University Certificates

These programmes are aimed specifically at Teaching Assistants. Further details on applying can be obtained from the contacts on the How to Apply page.

If you are unsure about any aspect of your qualifications or application, please contact us on 020 8223 3112 and we will be happy to discuss your individual circumstances and application.
