The University of East London has more than 15 years’ experience of welcoming students from India and many hundreds of Indian students have studied our courses. UEL aims to give our students an enthusiasm for new ideas, knowledge and learning, as well as the opportunity to excel in their chosen careers.
UEL is an exciting study destination for Indian students. With a large Indian population in London there are lots of opportunities to enjoy Indian food and culture.
Our campuses at Docklands and Stratford are located in east London, close to the major financial centre of Canary Wharf and the 2012 Olympics and Paralympic sites. London is a great place in which to study and live, and offers endless opportunities. With convenient transport links, it is easy to experience all that London, the UK and the rest of Europe have to offer.
London has strong ties to India and the Nehru Centre, the Indian High Commission’s cultural arm, organises regular activities available to students and others who are interested in learning more about Indian culture. For details of forthcoming events at the Nehru Centre, please visit their website.
We have a dedicated in country team which assists prospective students from India through the admission process and with preparations for coming to study with us in London. For more information, please get in touch with our India Centre:

"This is my second year living on campus and it’s been great! The best part is that you have access to all the facilities like the library, internet and the launderette services 24/7. UEL is like a multinational organisation, where you get to mingle with people from all over the world at the same time get to learn about their country, culture and way of life. The finest part of my programme is that it is all based on research and other skills that are transferable to the work place. The approachable and motivational nature of the professors, will make your attitude about studying very optimistic."
