We are only one of three UK universities to hold the UK government's Charter Mark award recognising excellence in customer services.
This support includes an international student advice team offering guidance on issues such as immigration and working in the UK both during and after your studies, an employability unit, offering a CV and application checking service, and our Language Centre, providing a range of free English language and academic skills support as well as pre-sessional academic English courses for students who need to improve their academic English before starting their degree programme.

The International Office offers a free programme to welcome new international students to London and UEL. Starting with an airport pick-up service the programme answers any of the questions you may have about the University and its services and provides you with useful information about living in London and the UK. There are a variety of social and cultural events giving you the opportunity to meet other international students and monthly trips to place of interest such as Canterbury, Oxford, Cambridge etc, all offered free of charge. You will also be taken to the local shopping area, shown the nearest supermarket and banks and have a great deal of fun!
