Studying in London
Studying at UEL provides the opportunity to be based in the UK's exciting and cosmopolitan capital city. London offers amazing cultural and social opportunities and is a great place to live. Our campuses are located in East London, an affordable part of the city and the location for the Olympics in 2012. With excellent transport links from both of our campuses, experiencing all that London has to offer, as well as travelling to other parts of the UK and Europe, is easy.
Our impressive new facilities
We are one of the top universities in the UK for investment per student in facilties. Our impressive and modern Docklands Campus was opened in 2000 and provides outstanding teaching and learning facilities. In addition, many parts of our Stratford Campus have seen extensive refurbishment in recent years with new laboratories and computer facilities.
We also offer stylish on-campus accommodation at Docklands. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, modern facilities and internet access.
The wide choice of programmes
Students are able to choose a degree that meets academic interests and employment aspirations.
The majority of our programmes have a February and a September start.

Specialist support services
At UEL we understand the importance of providing international students with excellent support services. From application to graduation and beyond, we provide specialist support throughout your UEL experience. We are only one of three UK universities to hold the UK government's Charter Mark award recognising excellence in customer services.
This support includes an international student advice team offering guidance on issues such as immigration and working in the UK both during and after your studies, an employability unit, offering a CV and application checking service, and our Language Centre, providing a range of free English language and academic skills support as well as pre-sessional academic English courses for students who need to improve their academic English before starting their degree programme.

Our free Welcome Programme for new international students
The International Office offers a free programme to welcome new international students to London and UEL. Starting with an airport pick-up service the programme answers any of the questions you may have about the University and its services and provides you with useful information about living in London and the UK. There are a variety of social and cultural events giving you the opportunity to meet other international students and monthly trips to place of interest such as Canterbury, Oxford, Cambridge etc, all offered free of charge. You will also be taken to the local shopping area, shown the nearest supermarket and banks and have a great deal of fun!
