UEL Sponsors the Brazilian Film Festival 2011

UEL was proud to be the official university sponsor of the Brazilian Film Festival in 2011 – a series of festivals which took place in cities around the world including Barcelona, London, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Miami.  Click here for more information about the event.


London 2012 and Rio 2016

We are connected to the Olympics in many ways and we are excited to host Team USA and Team Singapore on our stunning Docklands Campus during the games.  The teams will stay in our modern, well equipped halls of residence and utilise our brand new £21million sports facility, the SportsDock.  See www.uel.ac.uk/2012 for more information.

We are working with LOCOG and other partners in London to secure access for our students to the Olympic Park facilities after the games.

We are also connected to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and the London East Research Institute (LERI) at UEL is working with local partners in Brazil on the social legacy of such mega-events.  More information about can be found at www.uel.ac.uk/londoneast

Our bachelors degrees are normally 3 years long and our masters courses are typically 1 year.


Executive Education

Our Royal Docks Business School offers Executive Education and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes to organisations around the world, including Brazil. Entry Requirements

We accept Brazilian qualifications at the appropriate level and also take any relevant work experience into account when considering an application.  The standard of your application form, including your personal statement, is also important.

International Foundation Programme

To join our International Foundation Programme, we normally ask for students to have completed the Certificado fe Conclusao de Segundo Grau or the Certificado de Ensino Medio.

Bachelors (Undergraduate) Degree

To join one of our Bachelors degrees, we normally ask for students to have completed the Certificado fe Conclusao de Segundo Grau or the Certificado de Ensino Medio with grades of 7 or above. We also ask students to have one of the folowing:

  • University Entrance Exam (for any recognised Brazilian university) with marks of 5 or above
  • ENEM with 55%

Masters (Postgraduate) Degree

To join one of our Masters programmes, we normally ask students to have a Bacherel, Licenciado or Professional Title with average grades of at least 6 out of 10.
