A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is an electronic document inputted directly into the UK Border Agency database by the University of East London which confirms Tier 4 sponsorship for an applicant.
To claim 30 points for your Tier 4 application you will need to be issued with a CAS. For more information please see the UKBA website.
A CAS is assigned to applicants by our International Admissions office.
In order for the University to issue a CAS to support a student visa application for entry clearance to the UK, you will need to:
The University will not issue a CAS if we believe that you do not have sufficient time to obtain your visa and join your studies by our latest date of enrolment. This decision will be made based on knowledge of visa processing times in the country you will be applying from.
In order for the University to issue a CAS to support a student visa application for further leave to remain in the UK, in addition to the requirements outlined above and the international admissions procedures, international applicants who are applying from within the UK will need to attend an interview with UEL International Office in which your immigration and study history in the UK will be discussed.
