Tier 4 (Students)- Applications for Student Visa Extension in the UK

Applications for a Student Visa Extension in the UK —Tier 4 (General) can be made by post, using 'Print and Send' or in person.

From the 5 April 2013, all Tier 4 (General) applications that are made in the UK are advised to be submitted via the online 'print and send' application form.  It is currently unclear whether or not paper applications will be accepted after 7 April 2013. The only exceptions are:

  • Applicants who are using the Super Premium Service
  • Applicants who have already booked a Public Enquiry Office appointment

We therefore strongly encourage all other applicants to use the 'Print and Send' service. Please note: The new application fees are applicable to all applications - including those made using the paper form.

You can find a summary of the changes and the introduction of 'Print and Send' on the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.

The Downloadable Paper Form:

This is suitable for Tier 4 applicants who are:

  • using Super Premium Service OR
  • attending a pre-booked Public Enquiry Office appointment

You will need to download and print off the Tier 4 (students) application form and guidance notes, which you will need to read carefully:
