Insurance information and requirements

Departmental Administrators are required to comply with the following:

Incidents that may lead to a claim

The Insurance Officer must be notified of any incident or circumstance that may lead to a claim by or against the University.

Third party claims received

If you receive any communication regarding a claim from a third party or their representative you must forward it to the Insurance Officer without delay. No attempt should be made to respond to the claim, although you may acknowledge its receipt and state that it has been forwarded to the Insurance Officer for attention. UEL is required to inform its insurers of any significant changes to the level of cover required and the scale and nature of the University's activities. It is therefore imperative that the Insurance Officer is advised of any changes to the following:
