Short Courses offered at Canary WharfUEL to offer short courses based in Canary Wharf

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences will be offering a range of new programmes designed to appeal to the 'after work' market, and seeking to increase its part-time recruitment. The chosen location is right in the heart of Canary Wharf (in a building used by day for a UEL Employability Unit project). Iain MacRury, Associate Dean HSS said: "This is a small scale initiative for 2010-11, but we hope we will gain experience with this year's offer, and towards planning a more permanent presence in the Canary Wharf locality in future years". The location is convenient for office and retail workers in the area, adjacent to Heron Quays DLR, as well as for the large residential population on the Isle of Dogs. .For further information, please email canarywharf@uel.ac.uk or visit HERE The programmes are open to UEL staff too!

The guide is aimed at UEL staff who are involved in student recruitment, whether at open days, fairs, Clearing or when travelling overseas, and it comes in two versions. The print version is a handy summary guide showing UEL’s rankings, key highlights from this year’s tables, and FAQs. There is also an online version which contains all of the above, but also includes subject-by-subject data for all the subjects in which UEL is ranked in the Times, Guardian and Independent/Complete University Guide tables, ranking details for our main competitors, and information on how the tables are compiled. Copies of the print version can be obtained by emailing publications@uel.ac.uk, while the online version is available HERE (please note that it is only accessible via the UEL network).
