The communications and PR team are looking for someone from each school and service to form a communications forum team.
The purpose is to look into the current internal corporate communications, looking at key objectives, addressing style and content and impact and effectiveness.
We would meet quarterly over lunch where we would discuss topics on what makes a good release, how to identify target audience, what makes a good publication, sharing practical skills and advice that can improve internal and external communications throughout UEL. For more information please contact Sarah Pallett on s.pallett@uel.ac.uk or call 020 8223 2512

European Commission, Call for Tenders: an Economic Input-Output Model Prototype for the EU. Deadline for sending in tender documents or requests to participate: 10 May 2010. The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched a call for tenders for an econometric input-output model prototype for the EU. Recently, the JRC's Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) developed a working pilot of an econometric input-output (EIO) model for EU countries. It is designed around the most recent European data, including time series of supply and use tables from Eurostat and socioeconomic accounts from the EUKLEMS ('Productivity in the European Union: a comparative industry approach'). This model has been implemented in three test countries, and includes a demand side specification and a translog specification of the production side with quasi-fixed capital. The call for tender is for the further development of the pilot to an extended prototype that will cover all EU countries and introduce a number of functional improvements in order to better portray a number of elements such as trade, factor markets and economy/environment interactions. http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:85440-2010:TEXT:EN:HTML
