Category A for Secondary Teacher Training In February, our Secondary Teacher Training was awarded a Grade 1 (Outstanding) for Management and Quality Assurance, following a very successful Ofsted inspection. On the strength of this, we were invited to submit further evidence of our excellent provision in teacher training. Just this week, we learned that following rigorous scrutiny, we have been awarded Category A - the highest possible award - for the outstanding quality of secondary training, and management and Quality Assurance .
Kathy Wright, Director of Secondary Initial Teacher Education, said: "This is such an excellent result for us, not just because it provides the highest external recognition of the quality of our programmes, but also because it means the number of training places is protected and we now have a platform from which to bid for even more innovative projects." Currently only a few institutions have Category A status and this designation makes us special both within London and nationally.
Our Cass School of Education would love to hear from any of your students or contacts who are interested in becoming a secondary teacher.
