UEL Athletes go for gold

6 UEL athletes competed at the BUCS indoor athletics championships at the weekend including UEL Sports Scholars Rochelle Jones (Triple Jump), Andre Fernandez (Long Jump and Relay) and Lumar Sylvester (400m and Relay). They were joined by Thalosand Tshireletso (Triple Jump and Long Jump), Lloyd King (200m and Relay) and Dele Onifade (60m and Relay).

Rochelle, Andre and Thalosand all made their respective finals but there were two performances from the weekend that really stood out. ACE student Thalosand won a bronze medal in the triple Jump with a distance of 15m 10cm and the relay team who won a silver medal with an incredible performance of 1.29.63 at the end of the final day.
