SKA launches at UEL

Tuesday 19 March 2013

UEL is undertaking a sustainable refit process called Ska, accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for the refit of EB2.17, Docklands Campus.

The Ska Rating performance benchmarking tool comprises a broad range of good practice measures that cover energy, CO2, waste, water, pollution, transport, materials and wellbeing. Each of these indicators is explained in a datasheet detailing the criteria that need to be achieved, the rationale behind the measure and guidance on how to accomplish it. As every fit-out is different, only those measures relevant to the scope of the works are chosen and the project rated against them.

UEL is aiming for a Bronze rating.
