Science without borders

On Tuesday 19 February Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor John Joughin and Pro Vice-Chancellor Selena Bolingbroke welcomed our second cohort of students under the prestigious Science Without Borders (SWB) scholarship programme.

The event was coordinated by the International Office and attended by more than 70 people among Brazilian scholars and staff from ACE, HSB and Employability and Enterprise.

According to Universties UK, UEL is the top university for Science Without Border students in the UK. This semester, 127 SWB students enrolled at UEL. Civil engineering, architecture, medical physiology, electrical and electronic engineering, product design, journalism, advertising and interactive media design are some of the courses chosen by these talented students.
