Friday 1 February 2013

Stratford Campus main story

Academic Practice and Student  Experience is extremely pleased to announce that  UEL now has its first Higher Education Academy Principal Fellows.  There are currently only 19 Principal Fellows in England and we are very proud to announce that we have increased this total by five. Professor John Joughin, Professor Hassan Abdalla, Professor Rachel Mulvey, Dr Julie Baldry Currens and Carolyn Silberfeld all successfully achieved Principal  Fellowship at the Professional Standards Framework CPD Panel held in  December.  This award demonstrates successful, strategic leadership in academic practice and academic development.

Congratulations are also warmly extended to Warren Kidd from the Cass School of Education and Communities who is the first UEL colleague to be awarded HEA Senior Fellowship.

Our approach of supporting colleagues to achieve  HEA Fellowship in any of the available categories (Associate, Fellow, Senior, Principal) recognises our commitment to enhancing high quality teaching and support of learning and those colleagues who have yet to apply for this award are urged to  do so.  Full details are available from the PSF Manager (Dallas  Davis – d.j.davis@uel.ac.uk); School and Serviced Leaders in Learning and Teaching and the PSF UEL Plus site,  available to all colleagues.
