Student attendance policy

Wednesday 7 November 2012

ID Card 541 x 290

We would like to remind all staff of the importance of ensuring students touch in to every class or study session they attend at UEL.

It is extremely important that we ensure that all students correctly record their attendance as failure to do so will have consequences for their ability to continue with full-time study. We recognise that students make a considerable investment when choosing to study at university so it is our duty, as a responsible institution, to follow-up promptly on any non-attendance issues.

Please remind your students to touch in using their UEL ID on the electronic readers in every classroom and to carefully monitor their attendance to identify any discrepancies early on.

For more information, please refer to the attendance policy briefing notes, which provide an overview of our approach, and the Attendance Policy which goes into more detail.

If you have any queries regarding UEL’s attendance policy, please contact your School attendance champion:
