Academic Board: elections to vacancies

Following the closure of the call for nominations for the institution-wide elected positions on the Academic Board, Electoral Reform Services have completed the process of managing the election process and the outcome can now be announced.
Election 1): a representative of the support staff elected by and from the support staff.
Only one nomination was received, from Neil Cole, who is thus appointed without the need for a ballot.
Election 2): a representative of the Professors elected by and from the Professoriate.
Only one nomination was received, from Adrian Renton, who is thus appointed without the need for a ballot.
Election 3): a representative of the Readers elected by and from the Readership.
No nominations were received, so this place remains vacant.
Election 4): two staff representatives elected by and from all staff.
Following an election in this constituency the following colleagues have been appointed to the Board:
Jason Dickson, School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering.
Carolyn Silberfeld, Cass School of Education and Communities.
