Arrow Planned works at Stratford Campus next week

Please note: In order to complete the new square in front of the new Stratford Library, the pathway connecting the Green to Cass School of Education and Communities, will be closed for the week beginning Monday 4 March 2013.

A diversion route will be sign posted around the Arthur Edwards building. During the week there will be two days; Monday and Tuesday, when access to Cass will be via the fire exit opposite R building, subject to weather conditions. Enquiries can be directed to Mark Janko.

Arrow The Noon Centre for Equality and Diversity in Business host first event

The Noon Centre for Equality and Diversity in Business is hosting the first of its event series in collaboration with RDBS and CEWE. This event is open to all and will focus on Women in the Boardroom. Dr Ann Olivarius, (cited by the American Civil Liberties Union on its list of the nine most influential actors in the history of the US law prohibiting discrimination at schools and universities) will examine the realities of climbing to the top for women, and carving out careers in today’s business world. Arrow Tomorrow’s Green Entrepreneurs – Mayor Boris Johnson is challenging London's students to come up with innovative ideas to cut carbon emissions and boost London's green credentials.
The 2013 Low Carbon Prize offers students the opportunity to win a share of £20,000 to turn their ideas into reality. 20 of the best runners up will be shortlisted for a chance to win a paid internship with leading industrial engineering firm Siemens, sponsors of the award. Arrow Raised beds at Docklands – Following popular demand, UEL has received funding from the NUS Student Eats project to implement a food growing project at Docklands Campus. Students and staff can help set up the project, which will involve constructing prefabricated wooden raised beds and deciding what to grow in the Polytunnel. Arrow UEL’s most successful 10 days in sport ever – UEL has won nine medals and earned its place in five finals in the most successful two weeks of sport ever at UEL. Last weekend UEL competed in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) championships. Read on for more information about each sport involved.
