Brief Biography:

Michelle Bloom is the performance artist otherwise known as Michelle Griffiths, who has exhibited both nationally and internationally. As a post-graduate of the Royal College of Art, she has taught at Wimbledon School of Art and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at Oxford University.
More recently her research has focused on British Folk performance. Over the next few years she aims to:

• Map the common ground between traditional/folk practices and events and performance art and to research, assess and analyse their respective performer-audience dispositions, relationships and interactions, and modes of documentation.
• Examine and investigate the debate around documentation from a hauntological perspective.
• Address, create, develop and test new materials and methodological resources within practice based research.

Michelle has over ten years of experience in administration, project management, bookkeeping and company direction, having worked in both public and private sector organisations.

Areas of responsibility:

• Leading the Administrative Team at IHHD.
• Production of Administrative Procedures Manual for Research, covering HR, Finance, Procurement, Grant applications.
• Member of the Health & Bioscience Research Committee.
• Buyer for IHHD.
• Co-contributor to IHHD Staff Wellbeing Programme.
