11. Letters

I need a letter to say I’ve enrolled – where can I get this?

You can print confirmation of your enrolment from My Record in UEL Direct. If you need a letter on headed paper (or a council tax exemption certificate) you should log in to UEL-Direct, go to "My Record" and follow the link in the Student Services container.


I need a Council tax letter, where do I get this from and how do I know whether I am eligible?

If you’re fully enrolled and studying full time you can apply for a council tax letter instantly via UEL Direct. Simply log on, select My Record and follow the link in the Student Services container. If you have any problems contact us: infoenq@uel.ac.uk.

Please note if you have an outstanding debt with the University your document cannot be processed until the debt has been cleared.


Where do I get a Visa extension Letter?

We don’t produce the letters but a confirmation needs to come from the Helpdesk in regards to your attendance in order for the International Office to create the letter. The visa extension will only be given providing that your attendance has met the required percentage rate.

You can request a visa extension letter in person by coming to the Helpdesk or sending an email to hsbhelp@uel.ac.uk please don’t forget to quote your student number if the email is not sent from your student account.

An email from the International Office will be sent to your student and personal email account within 48 hours of your request confirming you request for the visa letter.
