Doctoral studies within Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) under the supervision of Professors James Woodburn (Musculoskeletal and Neurological rehabilitation research group leader and European Grant Co-ordinator- GCU), Kenneth Dalgarno (Professor of Manufacturing Engineering- Newcastle Upon Tyne) and Dr Scott Telfer (Research Fellow- GCU). The project involved developing and testing highly personalised orthotics for early Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. This was a University funded project which is embedded work as part of the A-FOOTPRINT project, a European Union €5.3 million funded FP7 grant.
