Brief biography
Responsible for introduction, development and leadership of new BSc degree in Acupuncture at UEL. Qualified as an Acupuncturist in 1989, Member British Acupuncture Council and post graduate studies in Nanjing, China 1991. Established and practised for 14 years at The Birmingham Centre for Chinese Medicine, where I am a co-director.
Activities and responsibilities
All aspects of the development and running of the new BSc programme in Acupuncture, development of clinical provision and research at UEL in Acupuncture.
Areas of Interest/Summary of Expertise
- Development of research into type 2 diabetes with Acupuncture.
- Establishing clinical placements for UEL students in China and Cuba.
- Acupuncture in the Cuban health care system
