Scholl Fund Research Strategy

Vision: To contribute to the development of podiatric knowledge, practice, and service delivery and evaluation, through the identification of research themes which reflect/articulate with University of East London, School of Health, Sport & Bioscience research themes and with those of external collaborating partners. This will be achieved by:

  • Building research capacity and capability by supporting high calibre research, doctoral and postdoctoral research training
  • Encouraging collaborative research to strengthen projects through the ultilisation of internal/external subject experts
  • Working towards developing national/international expertise in emerging areas of podiatric and related research.

Aims are expected to evolve/change to reflect changing health priorities/funding opportunities. The research and development strategy of the Scholl Endowment Fund, should where possible, align with the research strategy of the UEL School of Health, Sport and Bioscience. This will ensure that the development of podiatric research capacity and capability is not in isolation from the wider arena of health related research within the University.
