Important Information for undergraduate physiotherapy applicants September 2012

The University of East London was informed by NHS London in January that its tender bid for Physiotherapy Education had been unsuccessful.

UEL will not be delivering the following programmes in conjunction with NHS London for September 2012:

The courses affected are:

  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (UCAS course code B160)
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (by situated learning)

All applicants to our undergraduate Physiotherapy courses will automatically be considered for the BA (Hons) Sports Therapy instead. Further information on this new programme can be found at www.uel.ac.uk/hsb/undergraduate/programmes/sportstherapy.htm

Applicants to the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy – UCAS course B160

  1. If you wish to be considered for the BA (Hons) Sports Therapy you do not need to take any further action. We will assess your suitability for this course from your existing application and let you know our decision via your UCAS Track account. You need to check your UCAS Track account frequently so that you receive our decision promptly and can accept any offer made in advance of the UCAS applicant deadlines.
  2. You may wish to withdraw your physiotherapy application from UEL – this can be done via your UCAS Track account which can be accessed at  www.ucas.com
  3. You may wish to substitute your UEL Physiotherapy course choice for a course at another HEI. If you are interested in making this change you should contact the UCAS Applicant Line on 08714 680468 for further information on substituting this course choice for another HEI.
