Learning & teaching

We aim to provide all of the learning and teaching facilities and support you'll need in order to make the most of your student experience here at UEL.

Each of our campuses has an impressive array of facilities, including:

  • Library and Learning Services (LLS), offering books, journals, reports, videos, DVDs and CD- ROMs, IT equipment and software, and audio-visual equipment. Most LRCs also offer 24-hour access.
  • Networked computer suites, with IT support
  • Skillzone, offering training and support in key skills such as essay writing, computing skills, etc. Support offered includes short courses and workshops, one-to-one tutorial assistance, takeaway materials, books, CD-ROMs and other materials.
  • Specialist resources for students with disabilities
  • Modern, well-equipped lecture theatres.

In addition to these resources, UEL also supports you in a wide range of other ways. Our Student Services Department offers specialist advisers and assistance in areas including accommodation, childcare, counselling, careers & employment, finance and health, as well as for mature students, students with disabilities and students from overseas. This helps ensure that you always have access to support and advice whenever needed, in order to make the most of your time and studies here at UEL. There is also a Self-employment & Business Start-up Service offering advice and information to students and graduates.
