The School of Health, Sport and Bioscience (HSB) is an exciting, friendly and innovative School, which is rapidly growing in both popularity and size. We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in scientific, medical and health subjects. These include Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Health Studies, Sports Science and a wide range of Bioscience Subjects. On 13th march the School's Medicines Research Group (MRG) hosted the London BioNat Network Research meeting for the first time. More than 65 scientists attended from UCL School of Pharmacy, King’s College London, Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, Trinity College Dublin and several Natural Product companies
Mala Rao, Professor of International Health in the Institute for Health and Human Development (IHHD) in the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience at UEL was awarded an O.B.E. in the Queen's New Year's Honours List for services to public health in the UK and overseas.
Exercise and Health Science student and UEL elite athlete, Gemma Gibbons, has won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Gemma reached the final of the -78kg category in women’s judo to clinch the silver.
