Staff Volunteering

To encourage staff to engage with their local community, UEL will offer up to 14 hours of matched time to staff members who undertake volunteering activities*.

Ideally the areas for voluntary work should be in line with UEL's strategic objectives of providing and promoting higher education, widening participation and raising skill levels.

You will find full details of UEL’s Staff Volunteering policy within the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

Benefits of Staff Volunteering

  • Volunteering is a way of developing your own skill set and will enable you to experience a range of opportunities you may not have previously considered.
  • Volunteering is an excellent way of meeting new people, developing new networks and contacts that can support you in furthering your career or simply add to your social circle.
  • Volunteering can improve UEL's local reputation and community impact.
