How to Raise an Employment Issue

This sets out the correct procedure to follow if you have a complaint about your employment at UEL. Please note that you can contact HR Services at any time for advice and information.

  • Discuss the issue with your line manager first to see if the issue can be resolved successfully through informal means.
  • If you remain dissatisfied, contact your Dean of School or Director of Service.
  • Contact HR services (this can be done at any time), for advice about your employment. If you are not satisfied with the service from HR, contact the Director of HR Services at m.moore@uel.ac.uk.
  • If you have a complaint about the service you have received from the Director of HR Services, contact Louise Nadal, Head of Governance and Legal Services l.nadal@uel.ac.uk
