UEL has an ongoing commitment to investing in our greatest resource – our people. We were awarded Investors in People (IIP) status in July 2005 and underwent a successful review in October 2008.
Investors in People is a nationally recognised standard and the leading people management benchmark. It focuses on business improvement and assists organisations to define and then meet or exceed chosen business priorities.
IIP is assessed using an independent team who use staff interviews to measure organisational success in relation to chosen business priorities, and also recommend areas for development and improvement.
They focus on a range of business priorities, including Learning & Development, Management Effectiveness, Involvement & Empowerment and Recognition & Reward.
Everyone at UEL is responsible for our success and the continued support of staff has led directly to our achievement and maintenance of this Award.
The HR Services team are responsible for liaison with IIP and for ensuring that we continue to benchmark our performance against the business standards of Investors in People. To find out more about IIP, contact us at g.price@uel.ac.uk or go to IIP website.
