UEL has a comprehensive health and safety policy, designed to comply with relevant legislation and ensure a secure and healthy working environment for staff and students.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility and all new staff members attend compulsory Fire Safety Awareness and Manual Handling health and safety courses. Find out more.
Managers are responsible for ensuring new members of their team also receive appropriate guidance to enable them to work in a safe manner. This includes School or Service policies and, where appropriate, risk assessments specific to their role.
