DSE / VDU Assessment
All new members of staff are required to undertake a workstation assessment, as part of their local induction, and complete the VDU workstation checklist.
If you are unfamiliar with the risk assessment process please refer to the DSE assessment tool in the first instance. If you still require further support please consult your manager.
DSE Assessment Tool
The Display Screen Equipment/Visual Display Equipment assessment tool is a simple package designed to help you ensure you are working in a comfortable and safe way.
The tool helps to raise awareness and reinforce the positive measures you can take to protect your health. The tool is simple to use and describes good and bad workstation set up, posture and mouse use. It also focuses on work routine, giving guidance on how and when to take breaks from your computer screen.
