Del Basi (OHS Manager) is presented with the award by Michael Hampson, RoSPA Vice Chairman of Trustees. (17th May 2012)
UEL has been awarded Gold for the 5th year running in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012. This prestigious achievement was marked by the presentation of a ‘gold medal’ in the gala ceremony held last month, accepted on behalf of UEL by Del Basi, OHS Manager.
Dusty Amroliwala, Pro Vice-Chancellor, remarked:
‘I am delighted that the efforts of all colleagues at UEL to maintain the high standards of health and safety across our University have been recognised so publicly for the fifth consecutive year. The award speaks volumes for the attentiveness that all staff pay to this really important area of our work and, quite properly, to Del Basi for his personal commitment and leadership in this field.’
