Courses: Essential Information
Where to Find Learning and Development Information
The Learning and Development Unit send out regular global emails with a link to forthcoming courses so that you are fully informed of development opportunities. You can also find information in the following places:
- HR Services Campus Notice Boards – information is updated regularly
- Microsoft Outlook - Learning and Development Calendar or Learning and Development Notices
Joining Instructions
We use two methods to ensure that joining instructions are provided in good time.
For those of you with a computer:
- We send joining instructions by email to Outlook Calendars. Here you are asked to click the accept button to acknowledge that you will be attending.
- Once this is done, the email is then filed in your Outlook calendar, on the date of the course. Click on the date of the course and course title within Outlook Calendar to retrieve the joining instructions and attachments.
- One day before the course a reminder to attend will 'pop up' on your Outlook screen
For those of you without a computer:
- Joining instructions are sent to you one or two weeks prior to the course starting through the internal post
- We also inform Registrars/Secretaries of the courses that are running, joining instructions and names of attendees for confirmation and as a reminder.
