Welcome to the HR Services area of the UEL website. These pages are designed to provide information and guidance to both existing and prospective staff. In this section you will find information about our team, our role and our strategy.

Welcome to the HR Services

HR comprises a team of 25 staff within five operational groups and we provide our service to some 1,700 staff, including our hourly-paid lecturers. Read more about us.

Our role is to enable UEL to recruit, motivate, develop and retain high-quality people. We work to ensure staff are both committed to and equipped for achieving UEL's strategic objectives. We also play a key role in supporting positive cultural change.

We provide professional services in all areas of employment and strive to be customer-focused, inclusive and innovative. We keep up to date with employment law and best practice in our sector and contribute to regional and national HR initiatives.

We invest in systems to streamline and improve service standards. Our bespoke computer database is both a management and essential strategic tool, enabling us to plan for our future needs. We are now rolling out this system to Schools and Services to enable staff to further improve efficiency and reduce paperwork.
