If you’re interested in further study and training in herbal medicine, the Stratford Centre for Herbal Medicine delivers the clinical training for the University of East London’s BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine.
BSc (Hons) Herbal Medicine
The BSc (Hons) Herbal Medicine programme introduces you to the concepts, history and philosophies of herbal medicine and to the current scientific evidence base supporting its effectiveness and safety.
Clinical training is provided on campus, while the majority of the academic component can be completed at home with online support. This makes it an ideal choice for people with busy lives and other commitments who require the flexibility to study at times to suit them.
The programme provides you with everything you need to embark on a career in herbal medicine as a professional, independent medical herbalist.
After completing the course you will possess the requisite knowledge, skills and confidence to join existing clinics, or even set up your own business.
You can also pursue careers in teaching, research, herbal products manufacturing and quality control, or work in food and pharmaceuticals fields where the knowledge of herbal medicine is applicable.
