Wildlife and outdoors

lavenderIt’s great to appreciate the natural environment and get some fresh air, and there is plenty of opportunity to do this at both UEL campuses. Green spaces are important not just for people to enjoy but to attract wildlife too.

The Environmental Research Group at UEL has carried out a biodiversity survey of the estate, providing an evidence base for a university biodiversity action plan.

Projects on campus

Going Wild in the City

A successful conference celebrating urban biodiversity was hosted by UEL on 13 September 2010. Part of the UN International Year of Biodiversity, a range of people with a biodiversity interest were brought together to share experiences and ideas.
