Environmental Management System
In January 2012, UEL was proud to receive ISO 14001 certification for its EMS.
An EMS is a structured framework for managing an organisation's significant impacts on the environment.
- It helps to manage and improve environmental performance, including compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
- It can generate financial savings through efficient practices (e.g. cutting waste and energy use).
- It improves standing and reputation with staff, students, partner organisations and wider stakeholders.
