Carbon management

UEL receives Carbon Trust certificateIn 2007, UEL joined the Carbon Trust’s Higher Education Carbon Management Programme. This involved a detailed analysis of the university’s carbon footprint and in 2008, the production of an implementation plan containing a range of energy saving projects. These were implemented along with further projects over the last few years:

In 2010, UEL was awarded the Carbon Trust Standard in recognition of the continuing work to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.

Carbon emissions reduction 2010 - 2021

UEL’s latest carbon management plan is now available, along with approved university-wide operational energy standards. To reach our absolute carbon reduction target, UEL will be working on a range of projects outlined in the documents below.

UEL also provides Carbon Management Training for its staff.
