All you need to know abot booking onto our big day

Our award ceremonies are the biggest highlight of the university year, and provide an excellent opportunity for you to celebrate your academic achievement along with your family and friends.

International Students

This year UEL will host the first international graduation ceremony as part of international week. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday14 October 2014.

Congratulations to everybody who has passed so far, we look forward to seeing lots of you at graduation this year. Please keep checking here for updates, and make sure your personal contact email address is up to date on UEL direct as we will be sending you graduation invitations to that account in early September. 

Dates for the 2014 ceremonies.

The 2014 Graduation ceremonies will be held from the 17th to the 20th of November. We are yet to confirm the times of each ceremony but the proposed dates are as follows.

17 Nov - Royal Docks Business School- 10:30am

18 Nov - Architecture, Computing and Engineering- 2:30pm

18 Nov - Health Sport and Biosciences- 10:30am

19 Nov - Psychology and Cass School of Education and Communities (postgraduate non-teacher training programmes)- 10:30am

19 Nov - Cass School of Education and Communities (all undergraduate programmes and postgraduate teacher training programmes)- 2:30pm

20 Nov - Law and Social Sciences- 10:30am

20 Nov - Arts and Digital Industries- 2:30pm

2014 International Award Ceremony

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a special graduation ceremony on Tuesday 14 October 2014 for our international students as part of 'International Week'* at the University of East London's Docklands Campus.

So, save the date and register your interest with us by emailing the graduation team at internationalgraduation@uel.ac.uk by 31 August 2014.

Competition

If you find yourself at a loose end between now and graduation, how about coming up with your very own deisgn for 'Class of 2014' T-shirt competition. The winning entry will win a fantastic prize including being the designer of the official T-shirt for this year's graduating students.

For queries regarding your certificate or transcript, please email assess@uel.ac.uk

Certificates and Diploma Supplements are not presented at the Graduation Ceremonies. Students will receive them either:-
by post through Royal Mail recorded delivery/registered airmail to the address nominated on UEL Direct or
by personal collection - requests for this can ONLY be made by emailing assess@uel.ac.uk

INDIVIDUALS WHO RECEIVED AN HONORARY DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON IN 2013:

Brit music sensation Dizzee Rascal  received an Honorary Doctorate in the Arts from the University of East London this week. The award-winning rapper was one of 11 outstanding individuals recognised as leaders in their field and for their contribution to the east London community and beyond.

Also receiving honorary awards were Keir Starmer, QC,Leroy Logan MBE, Jimmy Doherty, Martine Wright, Lord Rix, Dr Qaidjoher Ezzuddin, Subash Chandra, Sir Charlie Mayfield, Lord Harris and David Hoffman.
