Arrangements for split-site MPhil/PhD Students

In October 2009 Academic Board agreed a policy for international split-site MPhil/PhD students (http://www.uel.ac.uk/qa/manual/splitsite.htm).

This mode of study was introduced so that MPhil/PhD students domiciled abroad could study for a UEL award without having to bear the costs of moving to, and studying in, London. That is, enabling the University of East London to go to the international student. The policy also allows Schools, if they wish, to develop strategic PGR relationships with international partners, and UEL to extend its global reach.

Fees for students studying under split-site arrangements are set at 75% of what would be charged to an on-campus international student. Furthemore, these fee will be fixed at that level for the life of the programme. This will allow international students and their families to know and plan for the entire cost of the programme in advance. For further information on fees, please click here.

International students wishing to be considered to study under split-site arrangements should ensure that they clearly indicate this on their application form.

If you have any further questions concerning this category of student please consult the policy (link above) or contact Carlando Francis or Caroline Lake in the Graduate School.
