We are always interested to hear from persons who would like to be considered for membership of the Board of Governors, so that when vacancies arise their names can be considered.
A description of what Governors do can be viewed here.
Our Governors pay particular importance to maintaining a membership that is representative of the communities they serve.
Governors also have an important statutory function to perform. The description of what Governors do should be read in conjunction with the handbook for Governors and the guides published by external agencies, such as the Committee of University Chairmen (CUC) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). Gateways to relevant publications are available on the useful information pages of this web site.
