Terms of Reference

Subject to any direction that may be given by the Board of Governors, and subject to the requirements of the Instrument and Articles, the Employment Committee shall have the following powers:

To advise the Board of Governors on all matters concerning the University's employment framework.
To approve staff policies, regulations and procedures within the overall human resource strategey; including discipline, suspension, dismissal (including on grounds of capability, ill-health and redundancy), grievance, recruitment and selection.
To approve the staff hospitality and gifts policy and expenses policy.
