Procurement

Welcome to the University of East London's Procurement Web Pages.

Our objective is to help you get maximum value for money from your purchase. Interestingly, this does not always mean buying the cheapest option.

Purchasing should be carried out by staff with the appropriate level of skill and knowledge and based on the value and complexity of the purchase. To this end, there are a number of trained Lead Buyers located in schools and services who can assist you with help and advice on purchases of relatively low value and complexity. They are also able to advise where we have contracts in place for the supply of certain goods and services. The Procurement Team deal with most tenders and all tenders where the procurement is covered by the European Procurement Directives.

We have strict rules and processes that help us manage our purchasing and these must always be followed. Given that we currently spend around £40 million per annum on bought in goods and services this is understandable. You will find information within these pages.

We welcome your comments on the ease of use and whether you were able to find the information you needed. If you have any comments or suggestions for information or services which do not appear, please contact the Procurement Team
