Our Student Charter Commitments
These parts of the student charter are especially relevant to financial
services
You can expect us to:
- Maintain accurate records about you and collect the appropriate fee for
your chosen programme of study
- Provide a number of ways for you to pay your tuition fees. (You can pay
your fees through UEL-direct or on the phone - 020 8223 2974. You can normally
pay at least half your fees by instalments.)
- Discuss with you a new arrangement for paying your fees if your circumstances
change. We will tell you at the end of your appointment whether or not we
accept your proposed arrangement. (Our Docklands based credit control team
provide a drop in service Monday to Friday for most of the year.)
- Maintain a record of your academic progress in UEL-direct which you can
print out at any time
- Update the record of your academic progress within five weeks of each exam
period ending
- Provide an official copy of your academic record when you have satisfactorily
completed a programme of study with us
Students who owe us tuition fees or other sums may have their access to UEL-direct
withdrawn and will not receive an official copy of their academic record.
We expect you to:
- Make any necessary arrangement with anyone who is financing your programme
of study, such as an employer or local education authority, as soon as you
can
- Pay your fees as agreed
- Tell us soon as possible if your circumstances change making it difficult
for you to meet an earlier agreement about paying your fees
- Track your academic progress through UEL-direct and let your school office
know if you disagree with any of the details shown as soon as possible
- Keep
your contact details in UEL-direct up to date
We expect staff and students to conduct their business with mutual respect.
