The successful implementation of UEL’s challenging plans is necessary to secure our future.
Financial Services plays a key role in this. We help to manage our complex £110 million capital development programme for our Stratford and Docklands campuses. We help develop UEL’s plans and provide information on how well we are doing to our governors, directors and heads of school.
We ensure the significant level of funding we receive from the public is managed to the highest standards and that we can account for our activities to Parliament.
We enrol our students at the beginning of their career with us and issue them with their award certificates at the end.
We are committed to operating with the best modern practices ourselves and helping identify appropriate opportunities for our colleagues elsewhere in UEL. We lead in the development of our electronic service for students – UEL Direct.
Please note that Financial Services have moved to the Sports Dock, SD.2.06. Please also be aware that Credit Control have moved to the Ground Floor of the East Building, EB.G.09
Our procurement team is responsible for building up a network of relationship suppliers and developing a responsible approach to our environment.
We are organised into three main teams
This team is responsible for our cash flow. It keeps our books of account, pays suppliers, collects funds from those who pay us our dues and chases those who don’t. It prepares our annual financial statements to the latest financial reporting standards.
Stewardship is home to our student registry services teams who enrol students, keep up to date records on them and issues their award certificates when they are successful
