What are the Annual Fund Sports Coaching Scholarships?
These are three scholarships we are offering to UEL students who have a coaching qualification and are wanting to progress to the next level. The awards vary from a minimum of £250 to a maximum of £1000 depending on the specific sport qualification costs.
Who can apply for the Annual Fund Sports Coaching Scholarships?
UEL students who currently hold a Level 1, 2 or 3 Coaching Qualification, be aspiring to excel towards coaching in their specific sport and would like to acquire the next level qualification should apply.
How do I apply?
Students wishing to apply should complete the: Annual Fund Sports Coaching Scholarship Application Form
Once complete, application forms should be returned to development@uel.ac.uk
The deadline for applications is 31 May 2013.
Applications will be assessed in June 2013. Successful candidates will be notified in by 3rd August 2013. Grants will be awarded in the Annual Fund Awards Ceremony in October 2012 by the Vice Chancellor, or shortly after if applicant is unable to attend the ceremony.
The money will be paid to successful applicants in arrears in the following September after the application is completed. Successful candidates will be expected to provide coaching support to the respective UEL Sports club during the award year.
